FIRE SPRINKLER DESIGNER

*Full time position (40 hours/week)

*Starting wage: $38-$45

*Benefits include: 100% Employee Medical (Dental and Vision available at additional cost); 401k 4% match; 40 Vacation, 40 Sick, 8 Paid Holidays/year, 2 Floating Holidays added after 6 months of employment

*Starting immediately

Responsibilities:

• Draft correspondences and other formal documents
• Engineer fire protection drawings using AutoCAD, SprinkCAD, and/or AutoSPRINK with efficient placement
• Read and interpret code books, construction documents, specifications, and drawings
• Answer phone calls and emails regarding projects from fitters, superintendents, and Fire Marshals
• Organize incoming and outgoing drawings
• Prepare fire protection drawings and submit for approval
• Check on submittal status
• Attend coordination meetings, when required
• Prepare hydraulic calculations, listings for material orders, and material submittals
• Qualifications:

•  High School Diploma
• Previous experience in fire protection (3-5 years)
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to solve math problems
• NICET III Certification in Water-Based Systems Layout Preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
